You are not using AI.
You might think you are.
You might think you are using it to do your work, help you write, summarise research and generate ideas.
But you’re not.
You are training AI to do those things.
The more you train it, the better it gets at doing it for you. But it also gets better at doing it for everyone else.
Eventually when you’ve done the hard work to train the model, thinking you’re using it, everyone will be able to do what you do.
Including the people you’re currently doing it for.
The end game of AI is not you using AI to do your work faster and better to produce wonders. The end game is whoever you are doing the work for now – your clients, your employer and their customers – using AI to do the work you used to do for them.
You are not part of that future. As far as the AI companies are concerned, you are disposable.
You are not using AI, AI is using you.
